On July 23, Logista finalized the acquisition of the remaining 26.67% of Transportes El Mosca, now owning 100% of the company.

Iñigo Meirás, Logista CEO, said, "We continue to make progress on our strategy to bring further growth and diversification to the current business base, while consolidating the acquisitions made to date."

In June 2022, Logista announced that it had acquired 60% of Transportes El Mosca, consolidating its position as one of Spain's largest logistics companies and ranking second in temperature-controlled full-load transport. This acquisition enabled Logista to enter the shipping business and broaden its range of services for the fruit and vegetable sector.

Transportes El Mosca, founded in 1936 and based in Molina de Segura (Murcia), has a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles, employs around 1,100 people and has 12 national and international delegations totalling over 50,000 m² of warehouse space. In 2021, the company generated sales of 250 million euros and EBITDA of 25 million euros, with over 60% of this coming from international business. Transportes El Mosca's main markets include the United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and Italy for road transport, and China, the United States and Canada for sea transport. The majority of its customers are food producers and retailers.

With this acquisition, Logista strengthens its offering by integrating complementary capabilities in temperature-controlled transport and becoming Spain's second-largest operator in this sector. The transaction will also generate synergies with Logista Freight's international business.
